   About the Program
 Jerusalem is your living classroom for the summer as you explore its political, sexual, ethnic and religious diversity. Delve into a four-week exploration of identity, immigration and multiculturalism in Jerusalem as you interact with and learn more about Israel's many ethnic and religious communities.

About Jerusalem

Jerusalem’s landscape and allure are as ancient and diverse as its people. A central intersection of religions, ethnic groups and nations throughout history and today, it is one of the longest living laboratories of coexistence in the world. Fascinating archeological sites and amazingly modern arts, theater and music, architecture and culinary delights spring from it rich variety and overwhelm the senses. Want to explore the challenges and opportunities of coexistence? This ancient global melting pot holds lessons for communities around the world experiencing the massive demographic shifts from globalization. Our program location is at the Rothberg International School,, Hebrew University of Jerusalem (RIS) one of the Middle East's most prestigious universities, located on Mount Scopus.

IFSA scholarships are primarily need-based and factor in any additional cost your study abroad program might have over home school tuition. The awards are $500 for summer programs, $1,500 for semester programs and $2,500 for full year programs. These scholarships may apply to any IFSA program, with the exception of our custom programs.
