Co-Directors Catherine Sundt and Nora Jabbour will lead this course in conjunction with Estudio Sampere in Cuenca, Ecuador with excursions to Quito, Ingapirca, Otavalo, and El Cajas. Five days per week, students will have 2 daily hours of instruction in intermediate or advanced language, 2 daily hours of instruction in cultural and conversational competency, one 45-minute Rhodes session, and one supplementary activity. Weekend cultural excursions are integrated into the language and cultural learning goals of the course. Students have twice-weekly formal instruction on culture in addition to the cultural content of the language-acquisition sessions.
